Farmer's Markets

Direct sales at farmer’s markets provide the opportunity for customer education about culinary tradition, flavor, variety, growing practices, recipes, storage, and customer as co-producer systems. Customers are intensely interested in why their produce lasts much longer and has flavor like nothing else. The Farmer's Markets foster a closer relationship between you and the people who produce your food.

Markets and Restaurants

If you enjoy heirloom varieties grown in enriched soils, look for us from June through October at Boyne City Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and at Petoskey’s on Fridays. At this time we do not sell on-site, unless you are involved in the CSA. However, if you really get a craving for a salad made with our wildly popular cutting mix, chances are Chandler’s in Petoskey will be serving our greens.

Taste the Local Difference has a wealth of information on Northern Michigan local foods, in addition to listings of all the farmer's markets, so you can locate one near you. Click on the photo to the right to browse our pictures of Blackbird Gardens at the Farmer's Market.
